Milestone Magic with the Bronsons

I had known Cody for most of his life. I babysat him when he was in grade school, and a lot of time had passed when Cody’s fiance Paige reached out to me about capturing their engagement session. I was over the moon to be able to do this, and little did I know that journey that we would embark on together.

We did engagement photos at Hocking Hills, one of my favorite places in Ohio. That day Pete, my husband, and I had hiked out to find some cool spots, and then it started pouring down rain. I wasn’t sure if we were going to be able to do pictures at the time that we had talked about. The monsoon finally stopped, and the sun finally came out. We started to go on a hike down to a secluded spot that I have been to many times, and the sun then started to peek through the trees. The steam started to billow up, and it created the most beautiful sun flare and rays of fog. It was a rare magic photo moment just for us.

After that, I knew we were just destined for greatness together. Their wedding was in Grand Rapids, Ohio at a beautiful barn and on a gorgeous property. They were married underneath big maple trees, and you couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque spot. Leaving that wedding, I knew I didn’t want to be the last time I captured photos for them.

Fast forward to when they found out they were pregnant with baby Blair. Cody and Paige were some of my first customers in the studio I purchased it in 2020. I loved how simple their photos turned out, and you could feel the love radiating off of them.

Cody and Paige decided to do the milestone package with Blair, which meant I would get to capture Blair’s 3, 6, 9, and 12-month photos. I was so excited! Blair’s grandma brought her at one of the milestones, and we joked about how she had “Tuesdays with Blair.” They would go around and do all the big girl things together. She said everyone was smitten with her, and I was like, “How could you not be"?”

Paige and Cody informed me that they were going to get Blair a donkey for her first birthday, and I literally squealed with excitement. I just could not believe it. We actually ended up doing her one year milestone photos at the studio and an outside session with the donkey.

I made a beautiful floral crown for her studio cake smash session. Then we went out to Cody’s childhood home where they had the donkey, and there was this beautiful blooming apple tree that helped us make magic again.

Paige and Cody are expecting their second baby and have informed me they want to do the milestone package again. I am honored to be a part of these milestones and watch their family grow. Capturing these moments for them to treasure is what I live for.
